Special Olympics is a global sports program for people with intellectual disabilities. By participating in sports together with others on equal terms, a strong community is created, regardless of who you are or where you come from.

Speci-Lo is Special Olympics Sweden's very own mascot.
She is a brave lynx who loves sports and cheering on her friends.

At the Special Olympics Sweden Invitational Games 2026, you can expect to meet Speci-Lo both inside and outside the sports arena.

11 sports

At the Special Olympics Sweden Invitational Games 2026 in Malmö, we will be offering 11 different summer sports, both individual and team sports.

To participate, you need to be a member of a sports club, be at least 12 years old, and have an intellectual disability.

2000 participants

Up to 2 000 participants will gather for this year's biggest sporting event. Swedish participants will be joined by international participants from 25 euorpean countries.
